Spring Make up Tips
Spring is about renewal…out with the old, in with the new.
It is important that we start exfoliating our body –at least every other day- to get rid of the dead skin…and hydrate as soon as you get out of the shower while you skin is still damp Also, shaving is back! I haven’t seen my legs in weeks! When you begin shaving on a regular basis, make sure you use a good razor that helps you retain that moisture…otherwise, you will find your legs burn and sting when you get out of the shower. The air is still dry and hydration will help you body and your legs look great when you do start to wear those sundresses.
Color…Add some! Start with a brighter blush. Choose a soft pink or coral shade. For darker skin tones, choose bolder pinks and corals. I never recommend brown or dark blush colors. As they day rolls on, darker shades of blush can get even darker from the combination of the dark pigment in the make up in combination with oil on the skin. Darker blush will make you look older and create a ruddy look. The goal is to have a healthy glow!
Also, punch up your lipstick shades. Put the browns and nude shades away until next winter. Brighter shades of lipsticks help detract from imperfections. Your skin will appear more youthful and smoother. Lines will be less noticeable.
Red is all the rage for Spring…not everyone is comfortable with red, coral, or pink lipstick….if you are one of those people…I am the same. I go for the same shades in a gloss. They will give you a brighter look…yet the color will be a bit more shear.
It’s important to keep your eye make up soft when you are going with brighter lips and cheeks.
Just remember…less is more. It is important that we accentuate our beauty-not take away from it. Beauty comes from feeling good about yourself every day.
