How to achieve that Oscar Glow for your next big event!
I have been helping people get ready for their big events for years…and I usually encourage them to start their beauty routine at least three weeks before their big event.- most celebrities get spray tans. You can now achieve a beautiful tan without going in the sun or tanning beds. If you decide to go to a professional spray tanning salon, make sure you go three weeks before your big event to see what it looks like on your skin…The George Hamilton look is not attractive. I found that spray tanning makes my skin look dehydrated…If that’s the case for you …use a body moisturizer that has a bit of a self tanner in it. You will achieve a natural glow and you build over time.I am not a big fan of a lot of botox and fillers_ There are so many skin treatments you can use at home to help boost your glow and soften the appearance of fine lines. Olay has a new skin treatment called Pro X Intense firming treatment. It includes five hydrating and skin tightening masks and a firming serum. Every evening-five nights in a row…you apply this mask…it’s like a cloth that you wrap on your face. Leave on for 10 minutes and you will see a significant difference in your skin when you are done with the treatments. It also includes a serum that you apply morning and night before your moisturizers. I love it! Especially if you are gearing up for a special occasion and want to have firmer and healthier looking skinHollywood glam is all about having natural looking make up. Every make up artist in Hollywood uses a primer before they apply foundation…this helps smooth out the skin, and makes your pores appear smaller, and diminishes the appearance of lines and wrinkles. Also, airbrushed make up is all the rage for the same reasons. You can buy both air brushed make up and primers in the drugstores now. Revlon and Sally Hanson carry them.Hair! Get your hair cut three to four weeks before your big day! You want to make sure you have a fresh cut however, leave time to learn how to style your new do or let it grow a little should your cut end up being a bit shorter than you anticipated. Use hydrating products that keep the frizzies down and if you are planning on wearing an updo…don’t wash your hair that day. Your hair will cooperate better if it is dirty. If you want to freshen up your hair and remove oil, try a spray on dry shampoo before you style.Again, my motto is less is more, and don’t wait until the week of your next big event….start several weeks before your big day.
